Rights Respecting UNICEF cakes sold-out at the Food Festival

Children, parents and staff helped to bake, set-up and sell delicious cup cakes in the School's Cafe, based in the town hall. Thanks go to all the children involved, Mrs Ward, Mr Lavis, Mrs Heenan and two parents(Mrs Owens and Mrs Parry), who helped the children with the baking.

Arts Week and Day of Change

We had an important assembly today, learning about how all children have the right to an education. Y4 read out the letter that they received from UNICEF(United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund). The letter thanked Y4 for raising money.
We also had a presentation from the Rights Ambassadors. They had surveyed the responses from the Rights family homework and found the most "popular" of the rights:
  1st - Education
  2nd- Safety
  3rd-  Health
Shane and Alfie showed their wonderful models that they had done for this homework.
The school then showed all the Rights wall-hangings. All the classes started these during Arts Week early in January. What fantastic work!
